Marginalized Communities - Education Support Programme
The program aimed at providing financial, moral, and psychosocial support to learners and students emanating from the Marginalized Communities at all education levels, Early Childhood Development, primary, secondary, and tertiary education.
Who qualifies?
Learners and students from San, Ovatue and Ovatjimba Communities
How to apply
The Application Forms are readily available at all Regional Division Marginalized Communities and Constituency offices and can be submitted at either office.
Registration period
The application period is open from 01 September to 31 October each year.
Required documents
- Written application letter for financial assistance
- Progress Report of previous exams: Grade 10, 11, 12 Certificate or equivalent and/or latest Academic results
- Certified Copy of ID / Birth Certificate (A police declaration if either is unavailable)
- Original confirmation letter from Traditional Authority/Headman
- Original confirmation letter signed by the Regional Councillor
- Original confirmation letter signed by the Office of the Governor
- A provisional acceptance letter from the Institution of Higher Learning if available
- Pay slips of parents if available or a police declaration by the unemployed parent
- Certified copies of IDs of parents or a police declaration by parents if ID’s are unavailable
- Declaration of parents stating their ethnicity (San/Ovatue/Ovatjimba)
- Latest academic records with proof of registration for that academic year for applicants already enrolled at institutions of higher learning.
Benefit/service provided
- Tuition fees, accommodation fees, and a monthly allowance of N$ 1500.00 for students at institutions of higher learning
- Transportation assistance to learners at boarding school
Target Areas
Kavango East, Kavango West, Kunene, Ohangwena, Omaheke, Omusati, Oshana, Oshikoto, Otjozondjupa, Zambezi and Erongo.
